About this site
Betting Sites in Kenya lists which bookmakers hold a Kenyan bookmaker (BK) licence according to the regulator's published list and explains how to check any betting site yourself. It is a reference desk for adults who bet or are about to: the list, the law and the steps, written in plain words with every section of the Act named.
What this site does
Three things. It reproduces, as a team sheet, every line of the Gambling Regulatory Authority's list of licensed gaming companies that carries a BK licence number and a domain, with the trading period and the date the list was read. It explains, in guides, how to check a betting site before you deposit, what happens to your money, what the Gambling Control Act, 2025 and the 2026 Regulations require of a bookmaker, and what to do when one will not pay. And it names the section behind every legal statement so you can read the source yourself.
What this site is not
It is not the regulator. The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Kenya is established by s.6(1) of the Act, keeps the register of licences under s.39 and receives complaints from the public under s.10(m); this site has no connection with it beyond reading its public pages. It is not an operator: it takes no bets, holds no licence and offers no gambling service, which s.28(1) reserves to licensees. It is not a review site: it publishes no rankings, scores, ratings or opinions about which bookmaker is better. And it is not legal advice; a dispute of any size deserves a lawyer or the Authority, not a web page.
Who publishes it
This is a new site. The publisher's legal entity, contact channel and named reviewer have not yet been published, and the site has no track record to point to. Until those details appear here and on the Contact page, treat every statement as something to check against the source it cites rather than something to take on the publisher's word. The site is in demonstration status for that reason.
Why there is no advertising and no operator link
Promoting the advertisement of a gambling activity on an electronic medium without the Authority's approval is prohibited by s.87(1) of the Act, and the Gambling Control (Advertising) Regulations, 2026 (L.N. 114) define an advertisement as any communication promoting participation in a gambling activity (r.2). Approved adverts must carry the licence number, a responsible-gambling message, the licensee's name and address and the regulator wording (r.8(c)), and may not contain a call to action, testimonials or former winners (r.9(a), (e), (f)). Breaching s.87 carries a fine of up to KES 20,000,000 or up to twenty years' imprisonment, or both (s.87(4)). This site holds no advertising approval and seeks none, so it links to no operator, prints no bonus and takes no payment from anyone in the industry. Domains appear as plain text exactly as the regulator lists them. The How we make money page says the rest: at present, nothing.
Who it is for
Adults aged 18 and over in Kenya. The Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations, 2026 treat anyone under eighteen as a minor who must be kept out of gambling and gambling promotion (L.N. 112, r.92(1)(c)), and an operator must require proof of age of majority before registering any player (s.72(3)). If you are under 18 this site is not for you. If gambling has stopped being a pastime, the Help and limits page has the regulator's toll-free line and the self-exclusion route.
Reporting an error
A wrong section number, a line of the list that no longer matches the regulator's page, a sum that does not add up: all of these are errors this site wants to know about. The Corrections page explains what counts, what happens next, and keeps a log of every correction made. Until a contact channel is published, the log is the record.
